ABOUT HARSHVARDHAN MEGHAWALE
As a trainee at the Research Division of ADPL, I am currently pursuing the Molecular Techniques and Skills Development Program funded by ICMR-DHR. This program has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of advanced clinical diagnostics and molecular techniques. I have gained hands-on experience in DNA and RNA extraction, NGS, TP-PCR, QF-PCR, microarray, FISH, and karyotyping. I have also worked on Sanger sequencing, MLPA, and detailed primer designing along with troubleshooting challenges in these techniques. The program consists of case studies that integrate all these methods into real-world diagnostics, enhancing my analytical skills in molecular biology and clinical diagnostics. In addition to my current role, I completed a summer training at GreenArray Genomics, where I gained hands-on experience in molecular biology and diagnostic techniques, including nucleic acid extraction, PCR assay setup, gel electrophoresis, and RT-PCR data analysis. I also explored advanced technologies like microarray, FISH, and next-generation sequencing, while learning about DNA sequencing methods and GLP standards. This training enhanced my technical skills and understanding of molecular diagnostics, preparing me for research and clinical applications. I am passionate about applying my knowledge and skills to contribute to the advancement of molecular diagnostics and improve healthcare outcomes.
