About Harsh Vardhan Singh
I graduated in 2004 from IIT Kanpur with a B. Tech. degree in Aerospace Engineering. After a brief entrepreneurial stint in Bangalore, I joined Deutsche Bank, Mumbai. Over the next 7 years, I received a wide range of exposure to various products and roles in the financial services industry. As part of DB\'s Global Markets Quantitative Product Engineering group, I discovered unique structured equity ideas, identified trading themes and investment rationales and designed equity-linked structured notes for DB\'s global clients.In 2008, I received an amazing opportunity to run DB\'s onshore Equity Derivatives trading book as part of its newly established NBFC in Mumbai. I was responsible for managing all onshore derivative risk and liquidity management for equity linked debenture issuances, share financing trades and listed index options trading. I also managed the funding book by trading fixed income and interest rate linked products.In 2015, I founded a seed-funded wealth management company, Tauro Wealth, specializing in using advanced ML-based algorithms to provide tailored investment products to retail investors in India The platform was designed as a fully-automated, algo-driven solution that assessed each client\'s risk profile and recommended investment solutions across various asset classes. Our core USP was the ability to invest in thematic stock portfolios (that consistently outperformed benchmark indices) combined with a highly evolved user experience. The product included single-click execution and seamless backend integration with the customer\'s brokerage account. Tauro Wealth had 250+ paying customers with ₹15+ crores in AUM by the second year of its launch.I look forward to further building upon my experience and knowledge in the financial industry and have a strong passion for using data science, analytics and machine learning technologies to solve critical problems in this sector.
