ABOUT HARSHIT GOEL

Looking back into the abyss of my memories, I am always transported to the computer laboratory at school. I run across the room, dodging tables stocked with dusty old books, towards my designated monitor, bursting with excitement at the prospect of making something wonderful with a few lines of code. Years later, there is not a day that goes by wherein my eyes are not glued to the screen for hours on end, and the same spellbound kid races his fingers across the keyboard, making adjustments to his latest pet project.In pursuit of my obsession with the world of computing, I have mastered over a dozen programming languages and built several projects from the ground up. Having always found Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence exceptionally invigorating, I have developed a range of models operating on supervised and unsupervised techniques. My recent work includes a reinforcement learning model operating on the stock market, and an unsupervised NLP model for sentiment analysis and topic extraction.I also love exploring the various fields in which software development plays a pivotal role. I serve as the software lead for Endeavour, the rocketry society at the University of Edinburgh, wherein I gained crucial experience on the handling and coding of various electronic components. I also organised the 10th edition of my university\'s hackathon, having served as the lead of the tech team in the 9th edition, fostering organisational, leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills in addition to gaining experience working on full stack development.Outside my interest in programming, I enjoy graphic design, video editing, and writing, and maintain a blog for my creative work. In my free time, I am a voracious reader and a music enthusiast, and can often be found playing a sport or having a game of chess.
