Designing, maintaining resilient, scalable, and high-performance big data systems that process data coming through the EG’s chat virtual agent, perform ETL and furnish data on Looker dashboards for analytics purpose. • Collaborate and work on git version-controlled python-based processors that ingest high-volume streaming data through Kafka topic, process, and store in s3 buckets. Deploy the processor in different environments using Spinnaker pipelines and monitoring the jobs through Jenkins. • Support operation of production pipelines by monitoring jobs through Datadog and Confluent, collaborating with cross geo-teams. • Construct Splunk queries to query logs of different processors, get meaningful information that helps in finding bugs. • Devised and implemented a system using Python that automates the operation of cross-platform historical backfill. It parses Avro schema to get field names, generate a query to pull data from snowflake, perform transformations through spark jobs and stores the data in Hadoop as per the given Avro schema.
