ABOUT HARSHIT RAKHEJA

I\'m a former journalist who has since transitioned to the social impact and policy communications space. In my present role, I work as Manager, Content & Communications at Foundation for Economic Development (FED), a non-profit that works with state governments, providing them with directional and strategic guidance for advancing economic growth. In my last role at Change.org India, I worked with everyday citizens and helped grow their petitions into full-fledged online campaigns to drive social impact. As a Campaigner, I\'d leverage emails, news and social media, my experience as a journalist in polishing these petitions to make them palatable for a wider audience, and our team\'s ability and perseverance in getting a response from decision-makers. By doing this, we\'d help our petition starters amplify their cause and give them the best possible chance of achieving impact. When I wasn\'t working on campaigns, I\'d be writing about the issues that were being debated on the Change.org platform, through op-eds and long-form stories for various digital news outlets. I\'ve shared my work on Firstpost, Inc42, Business Standard, The Quint, The Hindu, The Telegraph India, The Wire, Maktoob Media, The Mooknayak, The Citizen, Outlook Traveller and Outlook Business.
