I’m a UK-based In-house Legal Counsel with over four years of experience at the intersection of law, technology, and innovation. Currently at Phlo Systems Ltd, a leading SaaS company, my work spans across contract drafting (SaaS, MSAs, NDAs), advising cross-functional teams on legal strategy, and managing AI product compliance including risk assessments, GDPR/UK GDPR alignment, and successful integration with HMRC. I’ve also contributed to securing £3M+ in fundraising by managing shareholder agreements and subscription documentation.I work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Sales, and Development to embed legal compliance into day-to-day business operations and product lifecycles.I also serve as a Product Compliance Manager for tradePhlo, our flagship software platform, ensuring regulatory alignment (GDPR/UK GDPR, HMRC integration) and supporting the development of AI-driven features. I’ve led Privacy Impact Assessments, managed data processing records, and helped launch innovative tools like compliance chatbots within the software.Previously, I contributed to privacy thought leadership and legal community building as a Privacy Research Analyst at Tsaaro. There, I led content teams, authored whitepapers, and drove engagement around data protection across the SME sector.I hold a PGD in Cyber Law & Cyber Forensics, an LLB, and several industry-recognised certifications in privacy, cybersecurity, and AI ethics, including from OneTrust, Privado.ai, and AWS.
