In Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi, Soch (ਸੋਚ) means “to think” or “a thought”. The mission of UW SOCH is to empower the community members of our university environment to recognize and accept mental health as an essential part of their well-being through education, prevention, and building resilience. With the emphasis on mental health stigma in the South Asian community, we look forward to supporting the need for culturally and linguistically appropriate mental health conversations across the university campus.As the Director of Finance and Sponsorship, I manage the financial operations- monitor the club\'s bank account and all financial transactions- collect and deposit the club\'s revenue- submit reimbursements and cheque request forms - research and contact potential sponsors to gain funding - maintain positive relationships with existing sponsors- research and apply for potential grants and funding opportunities
