About Harshad Nargundkar
I am a Technical Lead with 10+ years of experience in building scalable backend systems, automation platforms, and distributed applications using Python.I specialize in designing microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures using FastAPI, Flask, RabbitMQ, and Redis. My work focuses on building high-performance systems that handle concurrent operations, real-time processing, and reliable automation workflows.Over the years, I have:• Built distributed automation systems handling multiple concurrent operations • Designed CI/CD pipelines improving deployment speed and reliability • Developed backend platforms for real-time monitoring and orchestration • Led teams to deliver scalable, production-grade systems I have strong expertise in:Python | FastAPI | Flask | Microservices | Distributed Systems | Docker | Kubernetes | CI/CD | Celery | Redis | RabbitMQCurrently exploring opportunities in:Backend Engineering | Platform Engineering | Automation ArchitectureLet’s connect if you\'re building scalable systems or looking for experienced backend engineers.

Led the design and architecture of an in-house NETCONF server (T-conf) and NETCONF client (NCTool), ensuring full compliance with RFC 6241 for 5G M-Plane network configuration.Defined the software architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance in real-time 5G network environments.T-conf (NETCONF Server) – Architectural Design & Development: 1. Designed and developed a Python-based NETCONF server that supports all RPCs as per RFC 6241. Architected the T-conf stack to integrate with O-RAN YANG models, enabling seamless M-Plane communication with Radio Unit (RU) head lower-layer applications. Ensured a modular and extensible architecture, allowing future enhancements and integration with external network components.NCTool (NETCONF Client & Testing Tool) – Architectural Design & Development: 1. Designed and implemented a web-based NETCONF client with an SSH-based connection to 5G Radio Units. Developed NCTool as a powerful NETCONF server validation and testing tool, handling RPCs, responses, and real-time notifications. Integrated role-based access control (RBAC): a. Operators can execute tasks and download reports. b. Admins have full control over all operator reports and system settings. Designed a scalable, efficient, and automated framework for NETCONF-based 5G network automation. Led a team of engineers through the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from architectural planning to implementation, deployment, and optimization. Fostered best practices in software development, NETCONF standardization, network automation, and security. Worked closely with cross-functional teams to integrate NETCONF solutions into broader network management and automation workflows.
