In 2018, we started the DiskANN project for Approximate Nearest Neighbor Search (ANNS) to address the large gap between research and practice. It achieved many of its goals and has been adopted widely in Microsoft and rest of the industry. See link below for an overview of the project with references, I co-led the organization of the Big ANN challenge at NeurIPS\'21 and \'23 on large scale vector search and its variants.Currently in a Researcher/Tech Lead/Manager role.Previously, I contributed to the EdgeML project that designed new ML algorithms/models for IoT and resource-constrained edge devices (github.com/Microsoft/EdgeML).I enjoy mentoring research fellows/interns.
