Key Responsibilities & Achievements- Perform comprehensive soil and water sample preparation for organic, inorganic, and VOC analyses in accordance with SOPs and client specifications- Conduct moisture analysis, including preparation, calculation, validation, and review of worksheets- Prepare and process leachate samples (organic, inorganic, and VOC/BTEX), including ZH leachate with high proficiency- Support BTEX, F1, hydrocarbon, and PAH extraction workflows for GC/MS analysis- Handle hazardous samples, ensuring proper labeling, storage, disposal, and regulatory compliance- Utilize LIMS for sample tracking, workflow planning, and summary report review to manage daily workload efficiently- Meet strict quality standards and turnaround time (TAT) requirements while ensuring samples are analyzed within holding times- Identify and communicate non-routine samples and procedural non-conformances to supervisors- Provide general laboratory support across multiple workstations during peak periods- Maintain clean, organized work areas and accurate training records and documentation- Participate in Health & Safety meetings, internal and external audits, and continuous improvement initiatives- Cross-Training & Leadership Support- Cross-trained in Soil Pre-Processing, Hydrocarbon & PAH Extraction (HCS), and VOC laboratories- Regularly worked 2 days/week in VOC lab and 3 days/week in Soil Pre-Processing during operational demand- Provided full-time training support for new staff in the Archiving area over multiple years- Assisted with training new staff in Soil Pre-Processing- Recognized by VOC Supervisor for strong performance and requested for full-time transition to VOC lab- Selected for advanced BTEX preparation and GC/MS instrumentation training (pending operational constraints)
