ABOUT HARSHA AVINASH TANTI
Hi there!I am a researcher and engineer working at the intersection of radio astronomy, RF systems, and embedded signal processing, with a strong focus on translating fundamental research into deployable technology. I hold a PhD in Astronomy, Astrophysics, and Space Engineering from IIT Indore, where my work centered on low-frequency radio systems, direction-of-arrival estimation, RFI mitigation, and instrumentation development for space-weather and heliospheric studies.My experience spans the end-to-end lifecycle of RF and sensing systems—from antenna and front-end design to FPGA/SDR-based backends, algorithm development, and field deployment. I am particularly interested in software-defined radio, interferometry, distributed sensing networks, and data-driven signal processing, with applications across space science, wireless systems, and remote sensing.Beyond research, I have actively contributed to technology development, patent filings, and collaborative projects, and have experience mentoring students and working with multidisciplinary teams.
