About Harsh J. Gagoomal
Hi, I\'m Harsh, and my mission is to help others be seen and heard. As a creative and empathetic leader, I have 10+ years of experience building capacity for nonprofit organizations, artists, students, and startups. I specialize in ideation, strategic thinking, UX design, project management, and storytelling. I am a global citizen with ties to India, the Philippines, Mexico, and the United States. Some of my career highlights include-Collaborating on 75 theatrical and film productions as an actor and director; I have been featured in The Boston Globe, Broadway World, Netflix, Hulu, WGN, and WBR. As an artist, my most cherished projects were those that provoked uncomfortable conversations about oppression and raised awareness and funds to support individuals who experienced sexual assault and homelessness-Educating youth and adults; I\'ve served as an AmeriCorps educator, toured as a consent educator, facilitated adult classes on conflict resolution, and managed an afterschool program for 80+ students daily-Connecting people with housing resources, both through independent street outreach and working at a community nonprofit. Along the way, I\'ve served on the associate board of Lincoln Park Community Services-Supporting over 250 entrepreneurs, startups, and organizations at the Cambridge Innovation Center; I helped launch 7 floors of coworking space over two and a half years-Dabbling as a florist, personal trainer, copywriter, graphic designer, and shoe painter. I received my BA in Theatre Studies: Directing from Emerson College and my MA in Public Service from Marquette University. Most recently, I\'ve earned Google certifications in UX Design and launched an initiative to support local businesses by creating documentaries that promote their work.
