As a key member of the Global Client Payments team, I am responsible for safeguarding and managing the flow of funds across the company’s banking systems while ensuring compliance with tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions. Below are my key responsibilities:• Conduct daily reconciliation of tax payments by matching outgoing payments to filed tax returns, report exceptions to the Compliance team for resolution.• Analyse invalid or unmatched payments, recommend enhancements to automation systems, and drive improvements to increase auto-match rates.• Coordinate with Compliance to initiate payment blocks and ensure timely reversals and credits through bank communication.• Spearhead automation enhancements by raising development tickets, working with software engineers through Agile sprints, testing implementations, and approving User Acceptance Testing (UAT).• Execute critical Month-End financial processes and generate comprehensive Unpaids reports to monitor outstanding tax liabilities.• Investigate and clear outstanding liabilities by validating payments made across systems.• Perform Positive Pay Check uploads and decisioning on banking portals to detect fraud and manage check payments.• Process Stop Check payment requests, ensuring compliance with internal controls and timely execution.• Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), updating quarterly in line with system or process changes.• Prepare Monthly Business Review (MBR) presentations to report on operational KPIs and team performance.• Lead onboarding and training of new team members, ensuring consistent knowledge transfer and process alignment.
