Experienced brand and demand generation professional with a proven track record of building and scaling high-performing marketing teams over a 22 year career.Prior to Firstsource, I headed global marketing at Syngene, the contract research, development, and manufacturing services subsidiary of Biocon and one of the fastest growing companies in India. At Syngene, I set up the marketing function comprising product marketing, thought leadership, design, digital marketing, social media, website management, tradeshows, events and lead generation.Prior to Syngene, I was the global head of marketing at Infosys BPM, the BPO subsidiary of Infosys. In this role I was responsible for the development and execution of ‘go to market\' strategies for the 25+ service offerings of Infosys BPM across multiple industries, as well as management of the Infosys BPM brand globally. I served under 3 CEOs over a 5.25-year period and was a key part of the strategic initiatives that laid the foundation for Infosys BPM becoming a 1 BUSD in annual revenues organization.My three corporate stints prior to Infosys – with a direct marketing start up, a bouquet brand consultancy and with one of Asia’s largest training services organizations enabled me to acquire specialist skills in direct marketing, brand identity creation and content development.While at Infosys, I was a member of the NASSCOM panel on Marketing and Communications. I was also the chapter coordinator for the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP), Bangalore chapter. I am currently a member of the IMA chief marketing officer forum. I can also occasionally be heard airing views on emerging marketing paradigms, the latest trends and other relevant marketing topics at industry forums. I used to be an active quizzer (one of the original 48 contenders for BBC Mastermind India 98). My intrapreneurial work profile has temporarily ‘curbed my enthusiasm’ for active quizzing, but I hope to be active again soon.An MBA with two decades of experience in marketing, I recently ‘current-skilled’ my marketing chops by completing a rigorous 6 months ‘accelerated marketing leadership’ program from Kellogg Northwestern.
