Worked with the client on a SecOps project which involved Qualys, Kenna and BitSight integrations. Qualys Integration: • Installed the plugin and configured out of the box Qualys integration with ServiceNow to update Vulnerable Items table with the threat detections/vulnerabilities (related to Infrastructure) by severity with respective statuses. • Bring in the Knowledge Base data from Qualys to ServiceNow using Knowledge Base Import integration. • Completed a customized API integration of Qualys and SNOW to bring in the Vulnerabilities for Web Applications and update vulnerable item table. • Configured/created various Business Rules, REST messages and Script includes to implement and achieve what is desired. • Create and run Scheduled jobs on weekly basis to sync the Qualys and ServiceNow data. Kenna Integration: • Customized API Integration of Kenna with ServiceNow to bring in CVE (Common Vulnerability and Exposures) to update NVD (National Vulnerability Database) table, then updated TPE (Third Party Vulnerability) table based on KRR (Kenna Risk Rating) from CVE and finally updating Vulnerable Item and Vulnerable Group tables with new Vulnerabilities or update the existing ones. • Created Mass update scripts to bring all three tables (NVD, TPE and VI) data into sync before running the scheduled job for integration (these were the one time run scripts after which BR’s played their part).
