I am a first-year undergraduate at the University of Exeter, studying Finance: Investment Banking with Professional Placement. My career ambitions lie in asset management, investment banking and private equity with a long-term ambition of running my own fund.I am particularly passionate about equity research and financial analysis, enjoying the challenge of assessing company fundamentals, balance sheets, and financial ratios to inform investment decisions. I find it fascinating how businesses with similar revenue growth can experience very different market valuations depending on capital structure, debt levels, and risk profiles. This analytical approach fuels my drive to understand markets at a deeper level and to develop strong, data-driven investment strategies.I am motivated by the dynamic, high-pressure environment of global finance, where no two days are the same and decisions have meaningful impact on businesses, investors, and the economy. At Exeter, I aim to build a strong foundation through academic performance, active involvement in societies, and professional networking. I am seeking to gain industry experience through insight days, spring weeks, summer internships, and placements, as I believe these opportunities will provide invaluable preparation for my future career.Ultimately, my goal is to build a career in finance that combines analytical research, strategic decision-making, and leadership, contributing to long-term value creation while continually learning and adapting to the evolving financial landscape.
