ABOUT HARRY PELTO

Mr. Pelto has over 20 years of experience leading and delivering a wide range of business risk and consulting services to clients in the Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, NASA, and TSA. He is assigned as Team Lead for OM & S Ordnance, OM & S Remainder, and General Equipment - Remainder Tiger Teams within the FMO General Fund Team (FMO-4 directorate) under the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy, Financial Management and Comptroller (OASN(FM & C)).Prior to this assignment, he served as Branch Chief, SBR Audit Liaison Branch, leading assigned Air Force Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation (FIAR) efforts within the SAF/FMFA directorate under the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force, Financial Management and Comptroller (SAF/FM) and led Air Force General Fund Logistics Universe of Transactions (UoT) efforts and Air Force Security Assistance Account (SAA) FIAR efforts. Previous assignments included leading the Air Force Service Provider Team, Air Force General Fund Universe of Transactions (UoT) efforts including GAFS-R and DEAMS, and Civilian Pay, Military Pay, and Travel assessable units (AUs). Supported pre-assertion and audit liaison efforts for the General Fund SBA Universe of Transactions and Travel AU within the SAF/FMFA directorate.Prior efforts with the Navy clients included leading Deloitte support of the Military Pay Segment within Navy FIAR efforts at the Office of Financial Operations (FMO) under the ASN(FM & C)), test planning efforts as well as business process documentation and process improvement efforts at the Bureau of Naval Personnel (BUPERS), and OMB A-123 App A testing efforts at the Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED). He completed his Defense Financial Management Certification (Level 3) in July 2018, Project Management Professional certification in April 2013, Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) certification in April 2011, and is a certified Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma.
