Duties & Responsibilities:• Generating detailed ballooned assembly drawings, comprehensive bills of materials, and detailed drawings to standards, incorporating tolerances, welding symbols, and machining notations.• Developing large-scale 3D and 2D general arrangements and factory layouts to increase space utilisation. • Facilitating ongoing communication with customers throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment with updates, changes, and amendments.• Leveraging P & IDs to generate layouts and general arrangements in line with defined project specifications.• Carrying out site measurements for retrofit designs to ascertain precise adaptation and implementation.Accomplishments:• Achieved cost savings and streamlined project timelines by systematically reviewing designs for optimisation, conducting thorough price analysis for key components, and employing advanced tools for structural analysis.• Designed additions to a machine in Poland, while adhering to strict deadlines with penalty clauses and mitigating potential profit losses for Cannon Viking Ltd.• Led designing and detailing of piping systems to various standards, including BS10, BS1965, and BS5156, with a key focus on accommodating pressures ranging from 2 bar to 210 bar.• Crafted robust designs for metering units and stations, high and low-pressure mixing heads, manifolds, bulk storage tanks, piping arrangements, and IBC stations.• Modified designs to suit the handling of hazardous chemicals such as toluene diisocyanate (TDI).• Constructed user-friendly operator manuals for complex machinery to streamline operation and maintenance.
