About Harry Johnson

I’m a Project Manager at Pine Gate Renewables, where I help bring clean and affordable energy from conception to construction and operation in the southeast region of the United States. I handle multiple facets of the development lifecycle for a portfolio of projects, inckuding landowner management and negotiations, land use approvals and tax incentive negotiation, community engagement, utility interconnection process, environmental diligence, and m&a transactions.Immediately prior to my role I\'m worked in private practice with Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP. I focused my practice on clean energy project development, real estate development (including land use and zoning), economic development, and real estate transactions. Prior to my current role I worked for Google where I led Google Fiber\'s real estate transactions for 3+ years, negotiating leases and identifying new real estate sites for a small division of a major company. I previously handled tax policy, local/state government relations, and tax incentive negotiations for the USA\'s largest utility-scale developer of solar energy. Prior to that I worked in private practice for a small firm in Raleigh as well as an in-house counsel for a family-owned CRO. I am a licensed attorney in NC and recieved my JD from UNC Chapel Hill (go Heels!) in 2014. I also earned a masters\' degree in City and Regional Planning from UNC, and received my B.S. from UNC Asheville in May 2008, majoring in Environmental Studies and minoring in Economics and History. In my spare time I watch basketball, follow North Carolina politics, play music, and cook.
