ABOUT HARRY CRAIG
I am an Advanced Journalism Apprentice with the BBC News in London. I\'m based with the BBC News Channel, where I produce rolling news output on the biggest global and national stories.I’m currently on placement with the Newscast team, working as a producer for the BBC’s daily news podcast. During my apprenticeship, I have previously worked as a producer on BBC Radio 4\'s World at One and PM programmes, and as a digital reporter for BBC London.I am experienced in editing and producing for radio, TV and social media, as well as writing copy for digital and print media. I also have experience in presenting and reporting on-screen for BBC London and KMTV, and on the radio for BBC Radio 4.I have recently passed my Level 6 National Qualification in Journalism with a distinction, and am now working towards my Level 7 apprenticeship qualification.I am a highly proficient French speaker, and have a strong understanding of French and European politics. I also have a deep interest in Eastern European and Middle Eastern history and politics. My long-term ambition is to become a foreign correspondent, building on my lifelong passion for diplomacy and international relations.I entered the BBC after graduating with a strong First Class undergraduate degree in History with Proficiency in Advanced French from the University of Exeter. This included a first in my dissertation, an oral history project interviewing former US servicepeople on their experiences of serving in Britain in the 1980s. I was also part of the senior editorial team of Exeposé, the University of Exeter\'s award-winning student newspaper, during my time as a student.
