As a Sergeant with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, I bring over a decade of experience in front-line law enforcement, impaired driving enforcement, and officer development. My passion lies in mentorship, training, and upholding the highest standards of service and accountability.I’ve led hundreds of complex DWI investigations and have been recognized as an expert witness across multiple judicial districts in North Carolina. As a certified Drug Recognition Expert Instructor (DRE), SFST Instructor, ARIDE Instructor, and Law Enforcement General Instructor, I take pride in developing officers with real-world knowledge and courtroom-ready confidence. I also serve as an Advanced Defensive Tactics Instructor, Officer Survival Instructor, and Taser Instructor—roles that reflect my commitment to preparing officers for high-risk, real-world encounters.I currently oversee Rotation Wrecker operations, DWI report review, and felony case packet management, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with agency and judicial standards. I serve as the secondary evidence sergeant, and previously held the role of primary evidence sergeant for both Durham and Wake County, where I was responsible for the accountability, organization, and integrity of all seized evidence. I also supervise troopers and manage critical administrative and operational priorities. Additionally, I function as a background investigator, helping ensure that only the most qualified individuals are selected to serve.My leadership style is built on integrity, attention to detail, and a commitment to both mission success and the well-being of those I supervise. Whether on patrol, in the courtroom, or in the classroom, I strive to lead by example and continuously raise the bar
