ABOUT HARRISON DECHANT
Hallo! My name is Harrison DeChant. I am from Grand Rapids, Michigan and am currently a Fiscal Services Coordinator with the City of Grand Rapids. In May of 2025 I completed my Master of Public Policy (MPP) at the University of Michigan\'s Gerald R. Ford School, graduating with a concentration in Public and Non-Profit Management. I graduated from Denison University in 2020 with a BA in Political Science and German with a Vocal Performance Minor. After finishing a Fulbright Scholarship in Austria in 2022, studying public policy at a graduate level was the natural next step as it aligned with my passions for public service and political science. From internships and experience in the Public Sector, to many great life experiences in and around academia, my strength in curiosity, kindness, and commitment to excellence continue to help me as I continue with my career. It is a privilege to be able to bring my skills with Public Policy to my hometown.
