ABOUT HARRISON CURTIS

After having spent many years apart from the film and media production industry, working as a marketer and content producer for the mental health sector, I have decided to reunite with my lost love of production in Vancouver. My most recent role as Director of Marketing for the Centre of Excellence on PTSD funded by Veterans Affairs Canada in Ottawa was a great opportunity. Working in marketing for the mental health sector was a rewarding experience. It was also rewarding to have taken my skills developed previously in film and media production, and reapply them to a different but similar role in marketing. Combining strategy development, writing and producing, and directing a team has become a passion. Although the weight of that responsibility doesn\'t come without cost, I have come to learn as well. Over the years while working in the film industry in Toronto, and my other day jobs in marketing, I have written, produced, and/or directed a number of smaller independent projects, including short films and music videos. After a hiatus for the last several years, due to personal conflicts and the weight of the work in the not-for-profit sector, I am once again eagerly writing my own scripts and treatments, and hope to pitch these projects for development soon. I\'m very excited to be entering into this new chapter of my life and career as I search for a new role on the production team as an Associate Director/Producer and/or Writer, and once again enter into the world of film, media, and television.
