About Harrison B.
The world is a complicated place. I write gripping stories that make sense of the chaos. With extensive experience from the newsroom to the TV writers’ room, my interdisciplinary storytelling approach cuts across genre and finds the beating pulse of narrative wherever it may be.Known as a “shamus of a tiger sort” at Princeton University, I cut my teeth as a cub reporter in Taos, New Mexico before elevating my craft with an MFA at the University of Nevada, Reno and a Fulbright in the divided nation of Cyprus. Since then, I wrote an episode of a TV series.I ran a journal about writing pedagogy at Princeton. I’ve also taught composition and creative writing at the University of Nevada, Reno—and even in the United Nations Buffer Zone in Cyprus. I’ve lectured on my research across the world, from Italy to New Zealand. Much of my work involves suspenseful narratives that intersect with the urban history of the Mediterranean.
