Provided comprehensive legal support throughout the lifecycle of strategic acquisitions and exits, including due diligence, negotiation of term sheets, transaction documents, and regulatory compliance. Led high-profile M&A transactions for several of the most notable esports organizations in the industry, guiding buyers and sellers through complex corporate, IP, and governance considerations unique to the gaming and esports ecosystemAt ESG Law, we represent approximately 70 percent of tier one esports organizations including Team Liquid, Cloud9, TSM, 100 Thieves, and OpTic Gaming, providing strategic legal counsel across transactional, governance, and commercial matters. Our client roster also includes industry leading brands such as The Pokémon Company International, Offbrand Studios, Hi-Rez Studios, Unikrn, and Beyond the Summit. We work closely with professional sports franchises like the New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils, Philadelphia 76ers, Golden State Warriors, and Washington Capitals as they expand into the gaming and interactive entertainment space, advising on investment structuring, joint venture arrangements, and cross-industry partnerships.Drafted and negotiated some of the most valuable and complex sponsorship agreements in esports history, including multiyear brand activations for global companies such as BMW, PUMA, Logitech, Alienware, and Monster Energy. Represent teams in negotiating publishing, licensing, revenue sharing, governance, competition rules, and participation agreements with major game publishers and tournament operators including Riot Games, Activision Blizzard, BLAST, Psyonix, ESL, and Ubisoft.
