ABOUT HARRIET SHEPHERD
As Head of the CCRO Office at St. James\'s Place, I work to enable the Chief Client and Reputation Officer (CCRO) and Marketing Leadership Team (MLT) to operate efficiently. My primary focus is on the development and delivery of strategic initiatives. I have been involved in some high-profile changes to SJP strategy and operations, championing the voice of the client in those conversations. I also lead our consumer research function, and our consumer understanding approach to Consumer Duty, a recent regulation set by the FCA. Before this role, I worked in Marketing Propositions - specialising in Financial Wellbeing. In these roles, I worked on the development and implementation of SJP\'s Workplace Financial Education programme. This programme provided financial education sessions to companies across the UK. As a result of my work in this field, I was shortlisted for Money Marketing\'s Financial Wellbeing Champion of the Year award in 2022. Alongside my working career at SJP, I also studied towards a Master\'s in Leadership and Management with Ashridge Executive Education. This qualification also gave me Chartered Manager status with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). Throughout this course, I developed a passion for strategic thinking and change management. As a team manager, I try to embed what I\'ve learned and maintain the same curiosity. During my time at SJP I have evolved my presentation and public speaking abilities. The highlight of this was when I won a public speaking competition in 2022 run by IMPower and the Women in Asset Servicing networking group (WiAS). Since this, I have been on a panel discussion at the 2022 FundForum in Monaco, spoken at numerous Workplace Wellbeing events/webinars, and presented on different topics within SJP. Outside work, I love walking in the countryside, playing netball in the local league, and planning the next holiday/adventure. Please do reach out.
