Oversee the Environmental and Sustainability Planning Section in the Division of Planning that covers matters related to climate resilience, military planning, farmland preservation, the National Environmental Policy Act, wastewater, stormwater, and the Community Rating System. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with state and federal agencies, municipal officials, nonprofits, and an array of county departments. Direct planning studies & prepare publications, GIS maps, and charts - including the 2022 and 2008 editions of the Monmouth County Farmland Preservation Plan and the 2022 Next Steps to Compatibility Planning Study. Administer the Monmouth County Farmland Preservation Program, propose and implement policies, set agendas, run meetings, and manage budget. Spearhead real estate transactions totaling over 145 easements,$179 million, and 7300 acres. Identify candidates for land conservation. Obtain and manage grants including those from the Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation, Readiness & Environmental Protection Integration (REPI) Program, State Agriculture Development Committee, NY-NJ Harbor Estuary Program, and Partnership for the Delaware Estuary. Manage right-to-farm cases. Run the division\'s easement monitoring and land stewardship program. Prior titles include Principal Planner, Agricultural Resource Specialist, and Principal Planner Environmental.
