WORK HISTORY
Campaign Coordinator @River Action Uk
River Action is a charity committed to protecting and restoring Britain’s rivers using a blend of community empowerment, mobilising communications and policy advocacy. The UK\'s freshwater ecosystems are on the brink of collapse. It is an emergency that combined threats of the food, water, health, biodiversity and climate crises. We aim to support community-level action and restoration, inform and mobilise public opinion, influence government will and policy, and incentivise changing industrial practices to adopt natural solutions. We will urgently protect and restore our rivers for the benefit of communities and wildlife.

With experience spanning across fundraising and campaigning within renowned organisations within the charity sector, I am a specialist in campaigns supporter engagement, using story-led content that drives positive, transformational change both personally and societally. In 2022, I graduated from an MA in Food Studies (Anthropology) with a distinction. I studied this topic to bridge my interests in politics, global food systems, sustainability, social justice; and to add to my knowledge as how to create a fairer world. I am Co-Director of a Community Interest Community called Anti Diet Riot Club and have been a successful body acceptance coach, and micro influencer. My blog writing attracted a publishing house and I published a book in 2018 and I my writing has also been featured in Glamour Magazine and RocknRoll Bride. As part of Tough Cookie I deliver a mental resilience programme called Mixed Mental Arts™ (MMA). This is a toolbox of practical techniques that builds our capacity to cope with the adversity of life in a way that is skillful and sustainable. We work with a range of organisation including Facebook, DEFRA and The National Trust. Interests: ethical consumerism, fat activism, food politics, body politics, access to health and healthy foods, growing, decolonialisation
