Project : Consolidation of Idea-Vodafone networks.Project Summary : In this project, we are upgrading and consolidating circle networks. Bandwidth upgradation, swapping L2 (MUX) devices with L3 (Routers), preparing design as per requirement, creating new rings as per design, migrating the services from PTN/SDH devices to IP (Juniper) etc. Lead the upgrade and consolidation of regional (circle) networks across the Vodafone infrastructure. Replace legacy Layer 2 (MUX) devices with Layer 3 IP routers (Juniper) to modernize network architecture. Design and create network ring topologies as per high-availability and performance requirements. Migrate services from legacy PTN/SDH infrastructure to IP/MPLS networks, ensuring minimal service disruption. Prepare and validate detailed Method of Procedure (MOP) documents for device configuration and migrations. Perform router configuration and hotswap activities, including pre/post-validation and rollback planning. Create and maintain Product Implementation Documents (PID) based on customer-specific requirements. Conduct protocol testing (e.g, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, LDP) to ensure proper service functionality post-migration. Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution of network design, architecture, and operational issues. Identify, research, and resolve technical problems of varying complexity within tight timelines. Take complete ownership of problem resolution, including issue replication in lab environments and escalation to Juniper TAC or engineering teams. Coordinate deployment activities with Juniper Professional Services (PS) and third-party partners. Manage critical customer escalations, ensuring end-to-end issue resolution and proactive communication. Act as the primary technical liaison for customers, ensuring timely updates and stakeholder alignment. Document all project activities, issues, solutions, and configurations as per organizational standards.
