Monroeville Fire Departments (MFD) have more than 275 dedicated volunteer fire and EMS personnel. Station 6 accounts for more than 75 of the volunteers in Monroeville. These volunteers are part of a dynamic system boasting highly skilled emergency response teams that provide fire protection, search and rescue, pre-hospital care, and other critical pubic safety services to residents. Firefighters, Hazardous Materials personnel, EMTs and Paramedics respond to thousands of emergencies every year, while also providing public education about fire, emergency, safety and emergency preparedness.As Fire Chief since 1981, responsible for planning, organizing, directing and implementing fire training, prevention, fire suppression, and emergency medical service activities. Creates short and long-term strategic goals that comply with all federal, state, county and local laws, codes and ordinances. Ensures that personnel, equipment, and apparatus are updated in training and operations. Focus is on safety, service excellence, responsiveness, caring and teamwork.
