About Harold Clavite
With 30 years of professional experience across government, the United Nations system, and development initiatives, my career has taken me through a unique intersection of operations, communications, partnerships, and project management, supporting leadership, coordinating complex programmes, and mobilizing stakeholders across sectors and borders. In my current role at UNDP, I support operations, project coordination, financial tracking, recruitment processes, and knowledge management for global initiatives. My work includes supporting programme teams through budget monitoring, ERP-based reporting (Quantum), digital operations, and stakeholder coordination. In 2013, I served with the UN Development Operations Coordination Office (DOCO) in New York, contributing to inter-agency coordination across the UN Development System. I also worked with WFP where I managed private sector partnerships and fundraising strategies, including strong support in the national participation of the global “End Hunger: Walk the World” campaign, mobilizing more than participants, partners, and volunteers raising over Beyond the UN, I served as Director-General of the Philippine Information Agency, the government’s national public information arm. In this role, I led national communications initiatives and oversaw operations and overall organizational management. I also served on the National Security Council\'s Strategic Communications Committee, focusing on preventing and countering violent extremism (PCVE). During the Marawi conflict in Mindanao in 2017, I chaired the Information Management and Strategic Communications Committee of Task Force Bangon Marawi, coordinating communications for a multi-agency post-conflict recovery effort. From 2018 to 2022, I was a Board Member at the multisector advisory board (MSAB) of the Philippine Army.
