Scholar of the iCons program which is a highly competitive certificate program that aims to inspire a diverse generation of innovators with the attitudes and skills needed to solve societal challenges. In my first-year project, I assessed the social and economic impacts of rural wind energy by developing a sentiment analysis model, designing a 3D-printed wind-powered energy storage prototype for rural deployment, and creating public outreach materials. Motivated by this work, my second-year project examined the feasibility of vertical-axis wind turbines on campus through on-site data collection, spatial analysis, community surveys, and public-facing reporting.
