As a member of the Board of Directors for Basketball Rise, I contribute to the strategic leadership and governance of an organization dedicated to empowering youth through basketball. • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with fellow board members to develop and implement long-term goals aligned with the organization’s mission to foster athletic development, leadership, and community engagement. •Governance and Oversight: Ensure organizational compliance with legal and financial requirements while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and accountability. •Community Engagement: Act as a liaison between Calgary Basketball Rise and the broader community, building partnerships with sponsors, donors, and stakeholders to expand the organization’s impact. •Fundraising and Development: Support fundraising efforts by identifying opportunities, advocating for resources, and engaging in events to secure financial sustainability. •Program Development: Offer guidance on enhancing basketball training programs, mentorship opportunities, and inclusive initiatives that benefit youth from diverse backgrounds.This role allows me to blend my passion for community-building, youth empowerment, and organizational leadership, contributing to meaningful change through sports and mentorship.
