As Deputy General Counsel, I play an integral role in ensuring CRLA can continue to improve outcomes and fight for justice for workers and families across the state. DGC collaborates cross-departments, focusing on California labor & employment law, compliance, ethics, policy development, and driving strategic initiatives. In this role, I advise and counsel CRLA\'s Board and leadership regarding legal requirements to support policy development and decision-making across the organization. Our dynamic environment at CRLA demands legal acumen, stakeholder collaboration, and a supportive, solution–seeking mindset.At CRLA, the Office of General Counsel plays the critical role of values-aligned legal advisors in our mission-driven space. This role encompasses risk assessment and mitigation. I invest time in thinking creatively with teams to address novel issues across the organization. The role of Deputy General Counsel is integral to upholding the organization’s commitment to a culture that thrives and drives community-driven, equity-centered legal services across the state.
