About Harish Chand

A software industry veteran and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in software development and data science, Harish began working in the intersection of software development and data science during the early days of the internet. Recognizing the vast potential of the web as a medium for measurement and personalization, Harish received an National Science Foundation grant to model online economic decision making with his Graduate Advisor and future Nobel Laureate, Daniel McFadden, while in a PhD program at UC Berkeley. Harish went on to work at Microsoft in machine learning projects to build Adaptive Natural User Interfaces incorporating Speech, Handwriting, Natural Language, and semantic modelling to facilitate the sharing of knowledge across different modalities. Over the last ten years, Harish has focused on implementing data-centric systems for both small startups and large enterprises to harness the ever growing set of digital signals to optimize business processes and outcomes. In his free time, Harish can be found playing racquet sports and attempting to play music.
