About Harish Chandrasekaran
Excited after stepping into Arizona State University, I am currently pursuing graduate studies in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power and Energy Systems. With the demonstrated proficiency and passion, I possess in Power and Energy Systems, I would like to make use of any opportunities available to explore more into the field of Power System Operations and Planning, Synchrophasor Applications, Transmission and Distribution, Smart Grids, Power Electronic Design and Control, Power Management, Renewable Energy, Electric Vehicles and designing of analog ICs.I had worked as a student intern in Electric Power Research Institute on transmission expansion planning using Energy Storage devices. It gave me an opportunity to identify and solve the challenges in transmission expansion and also gave exposure to the software development aspect for power system applications. I am currently working on masters thesis on Data Driven State Estimation using Deep Neural Networks. I also have enough working exposure in the simulations tools and software like Matlab, Simulink, PSLF, EPCL, Quartus, MATPOWER, PLECS, Cadence, Python, MultiSim, PSpice and made use of those in my other projects.
