About Harish Chand
As a public health and nutrition professional, I bring 27 years of experience in the development sector, specializing in community-based health and nutrition programs, program design, monitoring, and evaluation. I am adept in leadership, strategic planning, training and development, qualitative research, and interpersonal skills. I am passionate about collaborating with partners to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and the broader community. I currently serve as the South Asia Regional Coordinator for USAID’s Agency for All project at CORE Group International. In this role, I focus on strengthening and managing a Community of Practice (CoP) and Learning Collaborative (LC), engaging members through networking, collaboration, and providing a platform for learning and sharing on Social and Behaviour Change, Social Norms, Agency, and Gender Norms. I also coordinate with Agency for All consortium partners on evidence generation (EG) related to social norms and agency, as well as research utilization (RU). Previously, I served as Senior Manager for Child Health and Nutrition Program at World Vision India, where I acquired my expertise in designing and delivering large-scale health and nutrition programs, developing funding proposals, and collaborating with national-level development partners for policy advocacy. With 27 years of experience spanning World Vision India and CORE Group International, I possess a deep understanding of the complex issues faced by communities. My work has covered a vast geographic range, from grassroots to national levels, across multiple countries, states, and geographies, including rural, tribal, and urban slum areas. This extensive experience has equipped me with a unique perspective and skillset to drive meaningful change. My core strengths include community-based programming and implementation, project and team management, training, knowledge management, evidence generation, developing research and monitoring tools, data analysis and visualization, managing learning platforms, and overseeing Communities of Practice (CoP). I am also experienced in forging collaborations and partnerships. As a situational leader, I am comfortable working in multicultural environments.
