ABOUT HARISH BABU MANOGARAN

I am a Masters student in Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech, specializing in machine learning and computer vision. As a Graduate Research Assistant at Virginia Tech, I work on applying deep learning for biological image analysis under the guidance of Prof. Anuj Karpatne at the KGML Lab. My research focuses on using deep learning to identify evolutionary traits of extinct species using their descendants. I am currently working on using human-interpretable deep learning models based on prototypes for extracting key traits from species. I have a strong background in Python programming, data analysis, and machine learning. I have also gained valuable industry experience as a Deputy Manager at Ashok Leyland working on Software and Data-analytics for electric vehicles, and as a Software Engineer Intern at Zoho Corporation. I am actively looking for Machine-learning/Software-Engineering full-time opportunities beginning May-2024, or internships during Fall-2023/Spring-2024, where I can apply my skills and knowledge to solve real-world problems and learn from the best in the field.
