About Hari Tn

My core strengths around which I have built my career, and life, are a) very high level of curiosity on a wide range of themes and topics from science and technology at one end of the spectrum and history & sociology on the other, b) extremely uncluttered thinking on the most complex topics that help connect the dots and spot meaningful patterns, and these have often played out accurately, and c) ability to demystify the most difficult topics and communicate non-obvious and counter-intuitive insights in a manner that can create aha moments for both the experts and the laypersons. I have largely applied these strengths over the last 22 years in the world of start-ups, and have had a ringside view of it\'s evolution and the key turning points. I have participated in the growth journeys of 5 startups, in 5 different sectors, as an executive team member and played a key role in their scaling journeys and subsequent exits. 4 of the startups went on to be acquired by large marquis companies, 1 listed on NASDAQ, and 3 of them went on to become highly profitable Unicorns. In the process I developed deep insights into the challenges startups go through as they scale their businesses, and shared these insights both as articles in leading publications and as 7 books many of which have been category leaders. I advise three VC funds, two growth stage and one early stage. I have also been a mentor at accelerators like Techstars and an advisor to multiple startups. I am now singularly focused on applying my strengths to drive a single Mission: Build STEER World into one of the world\'s best deep-tech group of companies, in the space of materials technologies and advanced manufacturing, and take the group public in CY28. As the Executive Chairman of the STEER World, I provide strategic direction, and implementation support, to the CEOs of goup companies. And drive organization building and a strong performance culture across the group. I also contribute at a strategic level through Board positions on companies whose mission I find inspiring and in alignment with my capabilities.
