Working as a farm manager in an certified organic farm Farm operations, duties and responsibilities are as follows: FARM OPERATIONS: 1.FARM SCHOOL 2.ORCHARD 3.POLYHOUSE 4.LIVESTOCK (DAIRY,POULTRY,FISHERY,APIARY AND GOAT) 5.SILVICULTURE. 6.ORGANIC SHOP. 7.TREE NURSERY. manage all operations of polyhouse, including o Preparation of polyhouse o Soil preparation o Sowing o Fertigation o Pest control o Crop growth management o Harvesting o Cleaning o Solarization • supervise all farm hands for operating the polyhouse. • manage all input inventory of seeds,organic fertilizers,organic pesticide, and all accessories required for polyhouse operation. • manage all output inventory. • responsible for grading, storage, stocking, packaging. • responsible for maintenance of polyhouse and coordinate with selected vendors for maintaining the polyhouse. • responsible for overall security of the polyhouse and the produce. Duties and responsibilities at orchard: • ensure trees and shrubs are watered, fertilised and pruned, and are healthy. • manage irrigation and frost protection • organise the harvesting, grading and packing of fruit and arrange for sale and transport. • buy seed, trees, organic fertiliser, machinery and other orchard ma‐ terials • check, clean and maintain orchard equipment • train, organise and supervise orchard workers and contractors. • keep production and financial records.
