Director of Interventional & Structural Cardiology | Senior Consultant | Proctor in TAVRWith over 25 years of experience in interventional cardiology, I currently serve as the Director of Interventional & Structural Cardiology at S.L. Raheja Hospital, Mumbai, and hold senior consultant roles at P.D. Hinduja, Lilavati, and Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospitals. Some Achievements- Performed Maharashtra’s first double valve replacement, the second such procedure in India- Successfully implanted the first Impella (LV Support Device) in a nonagenarian patient- Recognized proctor in Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR). Training & Expertise:I have trained internationally at esteemed institutions such as University Hospital Bern (also served as visiting faculty) and Lennox Hill, New York. My core expertise lies in complex coronary interventions and structural heart procedures. I am committed to advancing cardiac care, specialising in- Impella implantation- Rotational Atherectomy- Complex High-risk Coronary Interventions (CHIP)‍ Education & Leadership:I’ve had the honour of training hundreds of cardiologists in complex procedures and have presented my research globally. My work has been published in leading medical journals, and my global experience includes advanced training at Kings Hospital (London), Hanusch University Hospital (Vienna), and Budapest, particularly in TAVI and structural heart disease interventions.
