I am a senior hand-on systems and software engineer with a experience in storage systems, storage and server virtualization, snapshots and data replication and inter-networking. My experience includes consulting with customers to develop product requirements and product specifications, and contribute as a hands-on member of the team during product implementation. I am an experienced innovator and entrepreneur, and I have experience in working in standards and industry organizations.I hold two patents in the areas of snapshots and data protection.Specific accomplishments:Lead design of the disaster recovery add-on feature based on virtual machine snapshots and asynchronous replication to an existing fault-tolerant software product; Single-handed designed and implemented the working prototype.Conceived of, designed and single-handed implemented a federated snapshot function for taking snapshots of a virtualized file system which integrates and manages shares across multiple heterogeneous filers.Lead the design and implemented a new filer based snapshot function for taking a single crash consistent snapshot that spans multiple volumes or filers.Initiated and coordinated a team, and authored report to Sr. Mgmt. on relevance, scope and strategic importance of company\'s membership in a leading industry organization, recommended specific areas of focus.Worked with customers or partners to develop the product requirements for products in many markets.Technical lead and author of industry standard protocol for backup and recovery.
