As an undergraduate researcher with the Renée Crown Wellness Institute, I am helping support a project led by Dr. Erin Willis and Dr. Sam Hubley that explores how social media influencers shape public understanding and behaviors around health and mental health. I assist with both qualitative and quantitative research activities, including literature review, survey design in REDCap, and coding influencer content. This role has deepened my interest in evidence-based health communication, especially how online communities can empower different people of various communities. It’s exciting to contribute to a project that bridges communication science, psychology, and public health to reimagine how digital spaces can improve health outcomes.
