As Operations Manager, I was accountable for leading a 51-64-member team (including 3 direct reports) to manage all aspects of day-to-day warehouse operations for 2 production facilities.I orchestrated shipping, receiving, inventory control, and production line feeding efforts, ensuring the organization’s continued growth and profitability.Some of my key contributions include: Managed 30K+ SKUs representing $50MM+ in inventory. Designed the cycle counting program, improving accuracy, enhancing efficiency, and mitigating inventory discrepancies. Identified and addressed operational inefficiencies, improving communication practices and reducing staffing requirements by 2 FTEs. Leveraged a Kaizen event to re-slot top model parts and optimize remanufacturing workflows, eliminating the need for 2 additional FTEs. Reallocated 2 personnel, reducing production line tact times and delivering ~$75K in cost savings. Increased throughput by 2 engines per day through. Audited a transportation company, identifying and recovering $93K in overcharges going back multiple years. Mentored supervisors, providing them with a strong foundation in inventory control and elevating team performance. Rolled out RF scanning systems and practices, increasing inventory accuracy and reducing errors.
