I\'m a chemical biologist with hands-on experience in organic chemistry, biochemistry, and molecular biology-Undergraduate research in Organic Chemistry in Prof. Aiwen Lei lab at Wuhan University and Prof. Zhang-Jie Shi lab at Peking University on C-H bond activation/functionalization-PhD research in Organic Chemistry in Prof. Weiping Tang lab at the UW-Madison. Pioneered the carbohydrate research in the lab and developed several novel glycosylation reactions for complex carbohydrate synthesis-Postdoc research in Chemical Biology and Molecular Biology in Prof. Jack Taunton lab at UCSF. Studied both chemistry and biology of a cytotoxic cyclic peptide natural product, we termed SR-A3. Was a member of the UCSF-COVID-19 research responding team, focused on therapeutic strategies that target host factors and viral protein translation.
