About Haoran Piao

I am passionate about connecting business and technology to tackle sustainability issues. As a consultant at Ernst & Young\'s Climate Change and Sustainability Services, I work with clients on applying software systems to collect ESG/EHS data. With my passion in tackling global plastic waste reduction, I am also highly involved in the internal teams in developing the Circular Economy team at EY. Prior to joining EY, I have assisted multiple non-profits in planning and implementing educational projects in environmental conservation as well as assisting in business development and improving internal operation process. During my time at University of Rochester, I had experience in doing data analysis and in understanding climate change and its potential impact. Through conducting atmospheric modeling research, I was able to apply a science-based approach to inform and help the local municipalities to make the right decision towards methane reduction goals. I also completed the e5 program(a fifth-year scholarship program) at the University of Rochester to do my entrepreneurial project-improving campus recycling rate through a web-based interactive platform.
