Building a full composite plane for the upcoming 20••••26 DBF competition-Designed and integrated aircraft empennage structures into a carbon fiber fuselage using Onshape (20••••25)-Enhanced rudder, elevator, and aileron strength by layering carbon fiber over foamcore, and integrated a steerable tail gear and wheel assembly onto the rudder for improved functionality-Performed structural analysis on the aircraft wing using a self-developed MATLAB-based beam analysis tool to optimize fuel tank placement, reducing maximum bending moment by 16%(20••••25)-Conducted computational fluid dynamics (CFD) using SimScale for the aircraft at angles of attack from 4° to 16° and 20 mph airflow, analyzing flow patterns around pylons to improve aerodynamic performance (20••••25)-Designed and manufactured aluminum angle brackets using sheet metal techniques such as shearing and punching to allow rigid attachment of servos to the aircraft wing (20••••25)-Placed in the top third among international teams at the 2025 AIAA Design/Build/Fly Competition in Tucson, AZ
