About Han Zhang

I’m a third-year Computer Science student at the University of Michigan passionate about using technology to connect people and make systems more efficient. My experience spans software development, data analysis, and digital strategy — from building Python-based data pipelines and visualization tools for ocean weather modeling at the Marine Structures Design Lab (MSDL) to consulting small businesses on digital strategy and community impact through the Michigan X Google Community Leaders Program. I also lead mentorship and engagement initiatives as a Resident Advisor for WISE RP and Membership Officer for GEECS, strengthening my skills in project management and collaboration.    Serve as a live-in peer mentor and leader for a residential community of 30 undergraduate students, fostering a safe, inclusive, and academically supportive environment- Plan and implement 2 educational, cultural, or social programs every month to promote student engagement, personal development, and community building- Collaborate closely with a team of Resident Advisors and Residence Education staff to uphold community standards and contribute to a vibrant campus living experience.
