Adamson was established in Toronto in 1934 and has operated continually since that time. Starting in the 1980s, we expanded into the United States, the United Kingdom, and Southeast Asia. Acting as the Executive Architect or Architect of Record, Adamson and AAI fostered collaborations with some of the world’s most acclaimed architects on iconic projects across the globe including the World Financial Center in New York; Canary Wharf Estate in London; and Kuala Lumpur City Centre in Malaysia. Through work on these complex projects and others, Adamson and AAI have become internationally respected authorities on urban design, architecture, and building technology. We have achieved worldwide recognition for both our innovative design and technical expertise, resulting in numerous prestigious design honours and the successful award of several design competitions.
