ABOUT HANY HASSANIN
Dr Hany Hassanin is a Professor in digital manufacturing. I received my PhD in advanced manufacturing and materials using micro/nanotechnology from the University of Birmingham m. Following my PhD, I worked a research fellow at the University of Birmingham at both the mechanical engineering department and school of metallurgy and materials, then as a lecturer and senior lecturer at the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Kingston University from 2015 until 2018.My research is focused in the field of design and advanced manufacturing in applications such as aerospace, biomedical engineering and Energy. The scientific emphasis is on the development of robust design approaches for advanced manufacturing technologies additive manufacturing, nanotechnology, computer-aided design, metamaterials, precision engineering, finite element analysis, composite materials, through research partnerships with several organisations including European Space Agency (ESA), Rolls-Royce plc, and others. I have published over 80 journal papers, book chapters, and books and contributed to patents applications.
